The official language of Malaysia is Malay. However, English is widely spoken and understood by many people, especially in the urban areas.

In Malaysia, it’s important to dress modestly and remove shoes when visiting religious sites. It is also respectful to greet others with a slight bow or handshake and its customary to remove your shoes when entering someone’s home.
Malaysia has decent internet connectivity across the country. However, the availability of phone and internet connectivity will depend on the city/village chosen for the immersion program. Students can also purchase local SIMs, at an additional cost, for data, calls, and texts.
