Faculty-Led Study Abroad Programs
About Faculty-Led Study Abroad Programs
A faculty-led study abroad program is designed and led by your institution’s own faculty member, who owns the academic content and travels with the cohort — while Authentica builds and runs everything on the ground. A skillful combination of academic and experiential learning, faculty-led programs help students achieve faculty-identified learning objectives through coursework, site visits, local subject-matter experts, and active learning, benefitting from Authentica’s focus on sustainability, career development, and student success.
Key Elements of Faculty-Led Programs
Organization Visits
The visits explore diverse institutions across sectors, providing firsthand exposure to global practices, innovations, and cultural perspectives.
Expert Lectures
Distinguished experts share valuable insights and real-world experiences, engaging in a meaningful dialogue with students.
Interactive Workshops
The workshops provide hands-on learning experiences through activities like language lessons, cooking classes, and dance instruction to develop practical cross-cultural skills and competencies.
Reflection Sessions
Facilitated reflection sessions encourage students to reflect upon the experiences they had on the program, and how the experiences have impacted them.
