Layers are key: spring and autumn weather in Switzerland can change quickly and varies between the lakeside south and the alpine center. Pack a warm layer, a rain jacket, and comfortable walking shoes for cobbled old towns and train-station transfers. Casual attire is fine throughout, with smart-casual recommended for the welcome and farewell dinners.

All inter-city travel is by Switzerland's renowned rail network, in comfortable second-class carriages. Trains are punctual, low-carbon, and scenic — the journeys between Lugano, Lucerne, and Zurich take in lake and alpine landscapes en route, making the travel itself part of the experience.

Authentica arranges all accommodations on a bed & breakfast basis with Wi-Fi, the second-class rail transfers between cities, the welcome and farewell dinners, and all applicable taxes.
