Myanmar as a south-east Asian country is underrated and I wanted to come explore it for myself. Being just a second-year student, I was quite nervous about my ability to contribute, especially if the project involved technical things. But these fears were laid to rest as when I started working, I realised it’s more about being creative in problem solving and team work. This internship was my first application to real life engineering and I learnt a lot. I would recommend this program to anyone who is interested to learn and grow. If I had to describe this program in three words it would be Immersive, Challenging and Enlightening. We did not have to worry about anything as Authentica had planned and organised everything. The entire program went smoothly
The biggest take away of having been in a tour with organized visits with Authentica is the access to companies and to very high ranking positions within each company to be able to speak with CEO’s and CFO’s and founders of different companies in both India and Singapore about what they are doing for their own countries and their own societies, I have never experienced that before, I have travelled a lot during my life, I have done backpacking, I have travelled with my family in groups, I know typical cultural trips but this is not only cultural trip but also a way to learn more about the local people, the local businesses and even the local government and organisations, what they are trying to do to improve their societies and their countries and thanks to Authentica we got to experience that which I have never experienced before in my life.

I personally found the EWB experience life-changing. The homestay experience
opened up my perspective on so many things and it is something I will always
remember for the rest of my life. None of it would have possible without the
seamless organisation and operation of Authetica. Every member of the Authentica
team that I interacted with were very friendly and helpful
While participating in an engineering study tour organised through Authentica they
ensured the educational experience extended far beyond the intended curriculum.
Authentica held language, cultural and history classes which provided a thorough
insight into India’s history and future which allowed students to immerse themselves
into the Indian culture. In addition to these classes, Authentica organised visits to
local community organisations, reached far beyond sites seen by a typical tourist in
India to extend the learning beyond the classroom. These included home stays within
local villages, visits to numerous educational facilities including colleges, music
schools for underprivileged children and agricultural campuses. The obviously strong
connection between Authentica and these local community organisations meant that
students were welcomed with open arms and allowed to move freely throughout the
facilities allowing both guided and self-directed learning. Authentica staff were
present throughout the entire trip to share their comprehensive knowledge as well
as providing translation and ensuring that the trip continued to run smoothly. Any
problems which arose were dealt with swiftly and efficiently with safety of all
students being of the utmost priority
